Mightier Than The Sword Awards at Sunset Film Festival

Now in our third year, the MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD AWARDS at SUNSET FILM FESTIVAL will take place once again at the historic and beautiful Sunset Theatre, from August 7-9, 2026 and will continue the tradition of giving our audiences the opportunity to see a wide array of films from film-makers all around the world.

There will be screening blocks dedicated to films made in or around Randolph County as well as late night Horror content & urban Comedy (G - PG13 content will be during morning/afternoon sessions. R Rated content will be shown starting at 5pm) Must be 17+ older).

There are Q&A panels scheduled, Meet & Greet sessions & even some filming to be done during the event
